Educational Background and Early Career:

Born in 1963, Igor Fishelev began his academic journey at Ural State University, graduating from the Faculty of Physics. He furthered his studies at the Institute of Metal Physics within the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, completing a graduate program that solidified his expertise. In 1991, he co-founded Link Public Company, one of the earliest joint-stock companies in the Sverdlovsk region. As Vice President, he was instrumental in shaping the company’s investment strategies and managing its foreign economic activities, playing a key role in its regional success and economic development.

Tenure at Mitsui & Co. Ltd:

In 1994, Fishelev joined Mitsui & Co. Ltd, a prestigious Japanese trading firm, at its Yekaterinburg office. By 1995, he was appointed head of the office, where he was responsible for overseeing the export of non-ferrous metals, timber, and chemicals, and managing the import of industrial equipment, vehicles, and consumer goods. His role at Mitsui & Co. Ltd significantly broadened his international trade expertise and established him as a prominent leader in the industrial sector.

Founding and Expansion of Unimatic LLC:

In 2000, Fishelev founded Unimatic LLC, marking a pivotal moment in his entrepreneurial journey. Under his leadership, Unimatic emerged as a leading supplier of metalworking equipment. The company saw considerable growth during the 2000s, establishing strategic partnerships with global industry giants such as Mori Seiki and EMCO. By the mid-2000s, Unimatic’s products were utilized by over 300 enterprises across Russia and the CIS, a testament to Fishelev’s strategic acumen.

In 2015, Fishelev launched a joint venture, EMSO-Rus, in collaboration with the Austrian company EMCO, enhancing Unimatic’s production capabilities and broadening its solution offerings. In 2018, he transitioned the company’s leadership to his son, Oleg Fishelev, and stepped down from the board of directors, ensuring the continuation of his legacy of innovation and growth.

Current Involvements with ARPACK Ltd:

Igor Fishelev is also actively engaged with ARPACK Ltd in the UK, where he serves as Managing Director. In this role, he focuses on promoting advanced air purification systems in the UK and other markets, working closely with ARPACK GmbH.
